Rosati Water Ice

What We Did
Surviving a Crisis While Supporting Veterans
Rosati Ice, a 107-year-old family-owned company, faced a serious challenge during the COVID-19 shutdown. Schools accounted for 90% of its revenue from August through May. When schools closed, the company was at risk of shutting down.
The company’s connection to the military was significant. Its owner is a West Point graduate, and its team included an Army commander and a Purple Heart Marine.
The Campaign
We worked with Rosati Ice to launch a GoFundMe campaign with two goals:
1) Keep Rosati employees working.
2) Support veterans in the community.
For every $3 donated, Rosati Ice pledged to donate a cup of Italian ice to local veterans’ facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes and VFWs. The campaign connected the immediate needs of the business with Rosati’s longstanding connection to military service.
The Results
$30,000 raised. The campaign generated $30,000 during the COVID-19 shutdown. No layoffs. Rosati Ice was able to keep all of its employees working.
Thousands of cups donated. Veterans’ facilities received thousands of cups of Rosati Ice through the campaign.
Media coverage. The campaign was featured by Fox29 and 6ABC’s Philly Proud.
That’s it. I would drop “The Power of Authenticity” entirely. The facts demonstrate authenticity without us having to declare it.
